What's in the box

A wooden frame, a foam pad, fabric scraps, double-sided tape, a line-art template, tools (scissors, a utility knife and a creasing tool) and an instruction manual.

How it works

Four quiet moves

No needle, no thread, no glue. The template does the drawing for you.

  1. Peel

Lift the backing off one section of the foam pad.

  2. Place

Lay the matching fabric piece over it. It holds on contact.

  3. Tuck

Tuck the fabric into the lines of the design with the tool.

  4. Trim

Trim the extra fabric, tuck the last threads, move to the next section.

Questions

Before you start

What is Kinusaiga?

A Japanese craft where you tuck pieces of fabric into the lines of a foam pad, section by section, until the picture is complete. No needle, no thread.

Do I need any experience?

No. The line-art template shows which fabric goes where. If you can follow a line, you can do this.

What else do I need?

Nothing. Scissors, a utility knife, a creasing tool and a wooden frame are all in the box.

What if I put a piece in the wrong place?

Pull it back out and tuck it again. There is spare fabric in the box too.

Is a frame included?

Yes. Every kit comes with a natural wooden frame, so your finished panel is ready to hang.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes. Each kit comes in its own box. Add gift kits for other people in the same order.

Where do you ship?

To the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

How much is shipping?

Free on orders of $50 or more. Otherwise $4.37. Orders ship in 1–3 business days, and delivery takes 5–10 business days. More on our shipping page.
